Méribets is a round, ample wine with notes of stone fruits, such as peaches, apricots and mirabelle plums. This fragrant wine is synchronised with refreshing acidity while coating the palate with its soft, medium body.
This wine can be drunk on its own but also pairs well with aromatic dishes that use some spices such as curries and stews.
Composed of 80% Roussanne and 20% Marsanne, these manually harvested grapes are vinified in stainless steel tanks (50%) and in 228-litre barrels (50%). Low temperature is kept throughout fermentation to preserve the fruitiness and malolactic conversion that follows softens the wine. This wine is matured for 9 months before bottling with occasional stirring of the lees (bâtonnage).

The Vallets have been cultivating vines for over 150 years but it was not until 1990 when Anthony’s father, Louis left the cooperative to start his own domaine. Since joining his father in 1998, Anthony now possesses 14 hectares of vines, producing 8 different wines that showcase their terroir. His expertise in the vineyards and in the winery reflect the geographical and climatic differences in each of his vineyards.
